Looking for Gender, Sex, and Sexuality 101 Content?

Queer and transgender people, as well as the issues we face, are increasingly showing up in mainstream media. But, for many people who are not part of the LGBTQIA+ community (and some who are), the terminology can be a bit confusing. We need resources that make that language available to people and that educate the reader without alienation or condescension. That's where I come in.

I've written Gender and Sexuality explainers as well as Trans/Non-binary 101 articles for a number of different websites including Healthline.com, ThoughtCo, ParentMap, and trans.cafe. It's important that transgender people are the ones doing this work, and as a non-binary trans person with a demonstrated history of creating accessible, informative content and a Master of Arts in Gender Politics from New York University, I'm the right person for the job.

If you're looking to develop an article, curriculum, or a presentation on gender and/or sexuality, please don't hesitate to be in touch.

Two New Articles Up

Excited to have two really awesome articles of mine published this week. The first, 14 Messages Trans People Want You To Stop Sending On Dating Apps, is a listicle that chronicles the messages trans people tend to get on dating apps and offers suggestions to help the cis communicated with us more respectfully. It's a fun, cheeky piece that I had a blast writing!

The second, 9 Life Tips from My Experiments in Relationship Anarchy, explores my evolving relationship towards my practice of non-monogamy and offers readers a list of thoughtful, heartfelt tips I've learned along the way.

More soon!

Some Updates After a Brief Hiatus

Oh, 2017. What a year to be alive!

I realized earlier this year that I needed to make some big changes in my life in order to be happy and healthy. In August, I left the coffee shop business after seven years, moved to a new neighborhood, and decided to dedicate myself to doing work that sustains me and helps me to grow.

I've been a little quiet on the writing front since this spring, but I'm happy to relay that these life changes have rejuvenated me and given me the time I need to start pursuing the things I want. And, this week it's really paying off!

I've got four pretty amazingly varied articles slated for publication over the next several weeks on Into More, Together.guide, and Multiamory. I've also picked up a Contributing Writer position at RunnerClick.com, a website dedicated to offering advice and product reviews to runners. Bet you didn't know I was a running nerd, huh? This position will allow me to extend my passion for health, fitness, and nutrition (from a body positive perspective obviously) into the world of my writing.

Stay tuned, babes! Much more to come.
